For broadcasts where a failure isn't recoverable, our engineers can monitor the event alongside your team and load test the expected audience beforehand.
On the published pricing tiers, backup stream ingest is included from the Team plan upward. Contracted SLAs come with Enterprise plans, and managed event monitoring and load testing are available as additional services. Delivery runs from servers around the world, and the network coverage map shows where they are. Live service status is published on the StreamShark status page.
Redundant ingests with automatic failover
Point your encoder at two ingests and both carry the feed at once. If one stream degrades, it gracefully swaps to the backup stream. Transcode and packaging behind it carry redundancy of their own. Operators can also force failover manually from the StreamShark dashboard.
Two DNS providers, both live
Every StreamShark hostname is answered by two independent DNS networks running in parallel, not by a provider with a cold standby. DNS is one of the few failures that takes a stream off air while every server behind it is perfectly healthy, so we don't leave it to one vendor.

A CDN is one delivery network. Multi-CDN combines CDNs from different providers into a single delivery layer. StreamShark's Multi-CDN aggregation is patented, and it spreads delivery across those providers rather than resting a broadcast on any one vendor's network.
Yes, on an Enterprise plan. It includes service level agreements covering uptime and response commitments, plus a dedicated account contact who knows your setup. The Standard, Team and Business plans do not carry a contracted SLA.
Yes. StreamShark shows your incoming bitrate and frame rate in real time and notifies you if there's an issue with your incoming stream. Stream health sits alongside the rest of your reporting in analytics and insights.
