StreamShark Wins Two Awards at NAB Show 2026 for Spatial & Immersive Video Pipeline
Spatial & Immersive Video Pipeline recognised with NAB Show Product of the Year 2026 and a Best of Show 2026 Award for AV Technology, presented by Future.
LAS VEGAS, April 27, 2026. StreamShark today announced that its Spatial & Immersive Video Pipeline has been recognised with two awards at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas. The product was named a winner in the NAB Show Product of the Year 2026 Awards and also took home a Best of Show 2026 Award for AV Technology, presented by Future.
The NAB Show Product of the Year Awards run across sixteen product categories and are judged by a panel of industry peers. Winners were announced at the official ceremony on the Main Stage on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The Best of Show 2026 Awards for AV Technology are judged by AV/IT managers, directors, engineers, integrators, and consultants who remain anonymous to manufacturers throughout the process.

About the Spatial & Immersive Video Pipeline
The StreamShark Spatial & Immersive Video Pipeline is an enterprise-grade transcoding and quality-assurance engine that converts existing Side-by-Side 3D and VR180 content into native MV-HEVC for Apple Vision Pro and Android XR devices. By encoding each eye as a discrete view layer and using inter-view prediction, the pipeline supports resolutions up to 8K with bitrate savings of around 27 percent compared to independent encoding.
The pipeline includes native per-view VMAF perceptual quality scoring, which flags asymmetrical compression between eyes before content reaches the viewer. From a single transcode output, the system generates adaptive bitrate streams compliant with both Apple Vision Pro and Android XR playback requirements, with a base-layer 2D fallback for non-spatial devices. Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital audio pass through without re-encoding.
The product was announced at NAB Show 2026 and demonstrated at the StreamShark booth throughout.
