Cropping a Layer in OBS

Overview
The cropping effects filter is comes in extremely handy when using OBS. With this effect you can crop any layer to remove anything unwanted. In this example we’ll crop a webcam layer so only the middle section is visible.
1. Add a video source
Right click on the layer you wish to apply a filter to then select ‘Filters’.
2. Select ‘Crop/Pad’
Click the ‘+’ icon located under the ‘Effects Filters’ section. Select the ‘Crop/Pad’ option. Label it something descriptive.
3. Enter crop values
The values in these fields will vary depending on what you want to crop out. Left, top, right and bottom refer to the starting point of the crop.
