How to Add a Looping Video in OBS

Overview

In this guide we will demonstrate how to add a looping video in Open Broadcaster Software. This method is great for simulating a live stream, or used in combination with other video layers.

Select media sources

1. Select media source

Click the + symbol under the 'Sources' section. You should see the 'media source' option, click on that.

Name the layer

2. Name the layer

When adding multiple layers it's important to ensure you label the layer.

Browse for the video file

3. Browse for video file

Browse for video you wish to loop. Once selected, ensure you check the 'loop' option.

Done

Done!

You should now see your video under the 'sources' section.

An alternate method is to simply drag and drop a media source into the 'sources' section. However, you will need to manually set the media to loop.
